What we do

Asi4her | Crowdfunding Platform

In many rural areas of Africa, outdated and harmful cultural practices persist, leading to beliefs that a girl’s place is solely in the kitchen, available for sexual intimacy, and expected to bear and raise children. Some communities still isolate menstruating girls, treating them as pariahs and providing them with unhygienic sanitary products. Unfortunately, many girls resort to using unsafe materials to manage their menstrual fluid, which can introduce harmful bacteria into their bodies. In these regions, most girls lack access to education about healthy menstrual management.
We are educators committed to bridging the gap between outdated societal norms and the girl child. Our mission is to deliver accurate and empowering information to young women. We strive to bring quality health education directly to every girl, transforming their perspectives and freeing them from societal constraints that limit their potential.
Our focus includes educating them on health issues, career opportunities, and strategies to navigate societal pressures and negative stereotypes. We serve as advocates, seeking medical assistance when needed, providing a listening ear when others turn away, and swiftly acting to protect girls from harm. Our goal is to nurture independent, empowered, and self-reliant young women.
We envision a better Africa, filled with strong, goal-oriented young women who are mentally, emotionally, and psychologically resilient.
