WHAT WE DO AND WHO WE IMPACT
We are deeply committed to the empowerment of girls, recognizing that education and information can be delivered through various channels. We also focus on their emotional well-being, career aspirations, and entrepreneurial skills, all of which can transform healthy adolescent girls into exemplary role models within their families, communities, and the nation.
HEALTH
A regular menstrual cycle without discomfort is a key indicator of good health. Therefore, we prioritize spreading awareness about menstrual hygiene, understanding the menstrual cycle, and promoting simple, healthy practices to prevent infections and complications. We provide opportunities for adolescents to ask questions and seek clarity on menstrual health issues.
Additionally, we inform girls about suitable sanitary products and donate pads to school sickbays and counseling centers to discourage the use of unhealthy materials during menstruation. This initiative aims to build confidence in girls, helping them see menstruation as a natural part of life rather than a source of shame.
We also recognize the importance of public health, which is why we organize seminars for custodians on the proper disposal of used and unused menstrual materials. Improper disposal can harm communities, so we advocate against dumping these items in water bodies. To support this cause, we not only educate but also provide dark-lidded dustbins in schools for safe disposal.
ENTREPRENEURSHIP
Our mission extends beyond menstrual health to include education and entrepreneurship. In today's society, acquiring skills is as vital as formal education. Twice a year, we conduct skill acquisition workshops where young girls learn to create liquid soaps, air fresheners, bleaches, and snacks. We also share tips on business development, customer engagement, self-motivation, and performance improvement. To inspire them further, we invite successful young female entrepreneurs to share their stories.
EDUCATION FOR GIRLS
Reaching girls in the community is just the beginning; we aim to expand our impact through schools. We established a forum called 'Education for Girls,' which introduces students to the 'Super Girls Club' (S.G.C). This initiative creates a platform for education, motivation, and engagement through seminars, games, competitions, and campaigns.
The S.G.C holds weekly meetings where girls from the same school come together to learn, showcase their talents, and educate each other through discussions and experience sharing. This competitive environment fosters a sense of community among girls from different schools, encouraging them to stay in school and pursue success while contributing positively to their homes and society. We also encourage our donors and partners to provide scholarships to girls from low-income backgrounds, helping them overcome financial barriers to education.
